This is an general requirement when it comes to any maufacturing cos. related smart froms, below is the mentioned solution for this.
For the required field that is to checked for NULL, in your case it is range as you said
Put that field in Alternative node
A basic understanding of Alternative Node provided below:
Use
You want to process one of two nodes, alternatively (including successors).
Procedure
1. Use the context menu in the tree structure to create an alternative node. To do this, choose Create Alternative.
2.On the General Attributes tab determine an unstructured condition in the Node conditions box. The system offers the same features as in the Output conditions box on the conditions.
3.The alternative node has two direct successors: TRUE and FALSE. Insert your successor nodes there.
4.Use the local check function to check your output conditions.
And also remember, when you put the node, you can put the condition there as well i.e. if range is null, in true print.
